Joyce Lukkes
About JoyceIn 2003 I came across Biodanza when I was looking for a form of dance with expression. The first session of Biodanza made me feel intensely alive and in love with life. Not long after, in 2004, I joined the training School of Biodanza ( Rolando Toro System) in Amsterdam and when I moved to Scotland in 2004, I restarted the training in January 2005 in Edinburgh with Claire Lewis. I am teaching in Edinburgh since May 2008 and have finished the training in September 2009. To me, Biodanza teaches me to be free in my body and soul, to connect with joy and pleasure and feeling human. I learn to flow with life and be more in the moment and am able to open my heart to being human since I dance Biodanza and I hope to spread this art of connecting and education to many new dancers.

The Sessions. In each session we will go on a journey with our potentials of vitality, creativity, sexuality, affectivity and transcendence through music, movement and emotions. Each class is different, we will explore and experience something new in each 'vivencia' ( intense experience in the here and now) and connect with ourselves, the group and life through an affective way of communication. |
At the moment Joyce is on maternity leave. She is based in East Lothian now and is planning to start teaching in Spring 2011 in the area of Haddington. Joyce is sometimes co-teaching together with Claire, Julie and Verene, on special occasions. |
